What your score means

Every score runs from 5 to 95. Low is under 25, Moderate 25 to 49, High 50 to 74 and Very high 75 and up. A higher score means more of the occupation's everyday tasks are the kind AI tools can already help with or take on, such as drafting, summarizing, sorting and checking information.

Exposure is not a forecast of job loss. Many highly exposed occupations are growing, because AI changes how the work gets done before it changes how many people do it. A high score is a signal to learn the tools now; a low score means the human parts of the job carry more of the weight.

Each score starts from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics' relative AI exposure level for the occupation, moves up or down with O*NET task data, and moves again where BLS found AI is changing demand. See exactly how we score, or browse the scores for every occupation.
